Pork Giniling

A delicious and filling minced meat dish with plenty of vegetables and a dash of sweetness with your choice of pineapple bits, raisins, or both

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 small onion peeled and finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic peeled and minced
  • 2 pounds ground pork
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 3 large Roma tomatoes chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 medium potatoes peeled and cubed
  • 2 large carrots peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 green bell pepper seeded and cubed
  • 1/2 red bell pepper seeded and cubed
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat up tge oil in a wide pan over medium heat and toss in some onions and garlic. Cook until they're softened
  • Add some flavorful ground pork to the mix. Break it up with the back of a spoon and cook for 3-5 minutes until it's no longer pink.
  • Add some fish sauce and let it cook for another minute or two.
  • Pour the tomato sauce, banana ketchup, and water, stirring everything together until it's fully combined.
  • Bring it all to a boil, then lower the heat and cover the pan, letting everything simmer until the meat is perfectly tender and fully cooked.
  • It's time to add some delicious veggies to the mix. Throw in some potatoes and carrots and cook until they're perfectly tender.
  • Add some quail eggs, green peas, and raisins, and cook everything until it's fully heated and the sauce has reduced to the perfect consistency.
  • Season everything with some salt and pepper to taste, and serve it up hot and fresh.
