In a mixing bowl, add 25 grams of yeast and 3 dl(1.2 cups) of lukewarm water and stir them together. Once they are incorporated, add a tablespoon of oil
Add 1 teaspoon coarse salt then gradually add the flour before kneading the dough until everything is fully incorporated.
Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise for around an hour. The size should double in size as a result.
For the sticks, they should approximately be 1.20 metes long and around a centimeter thick. Make sure to cut 25 cm from the tip and the stick should be able to support the twisted dough.
Divide the dough into 10 pieces and roll each into a thin strip then wrap it around the stick.
Keep a good distance from the flames and make sure that the dough is over the embers and not the flames. This will help prevent any potential burning.
Roast the dough for about 10 minutes. It should be done when you hear a hollow sound when tapping the bread.
Repeat the process for all ten pieces until you achieve a golden brown coloring on all pieces.
